Course Description:

Learn the many benefits of using sign language with infants, toddlers, and preschool age children that are both typically developing and have special needs.

Then have opportunities to watch videos and practice signs you can use during your everyday routines!

You will also learn ways to incorporate sign into your curriculum and how to create a supportive environment that fosters signs at your childcare setting and with your families!

This training is designed and taught by a pediatric speech language pathologist and gives you the “why,” the “what,” and the “how” in clear, real-life, teacher-friendly language.

What You’ll Learn

At the end of this training, you will be able to:

  1. Identify populations of children that benefit from using sign language. 

  2. List 3 benefits of signing to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

  3. List routines within their day and curriculum where they can implement signing to children.

Assessment

At the end of the training is a 10 question multiple choice quiz. You must pass with an 80% but don't worry, you get 3 opportunities to take and pass the quiz!

Course Evaluation

There is a course evaluation at the end of the training. Completion is required to receive your certificate.

Completion Deadline

This training expires 6 months from the date of purchase. The course must be successfully completed by the expiration date in order to receive a certificate. Don't forget to download and save the supplemental resources too!
