Empowering Voices: Supporting Children with Speech Delays

This training is approved in D.C., Delaware (DEEDS), Florida, Georgia, Maryland (MSDE- 1 Child Development 1 Special Need), North Carolina, Pennsylvania (PQAS/ACT-48), South Carolina, & Wyoming.

0.2 CEU’s (2 hours)

It can be frustrating for both you and a child when you don’t understand what they said.  This training provides information on speech sound development from 1-6 years old so you know what sounds a child should be saying at specific ages. 

You will learn quick and easy strategies to support speech sound development and learn how to respond in ways that reduces frustrations.  These strategies can be implemented throughout the day, during natural routines!

In order to earn your CEU credits you must:

  • Sign in on the sign in sheet provided at the training

  • Be present and an active participant for the duration of the training

  • Receive a passing score (80%) on the 10 question multiple choice quiz at the end of the training (Don’t worry, you have 3 attempts to pass!)

  • Complete an anonymous course survey
