Louisiana Pathways Approved Child Care Training

Yes. Bridging Child Development is listed in the Louisiana Pathways Trainer Registry as an approved trainer. All courses are accepted by the Louisiana Department of Education for continuing education clock hours toward annual licensing requirements, and our Pathways trainer ID appears on every certificate.

Louisiana requires 12 clock hours of annual continuing education for staff in licensed early learning centers and family child care homes, delivered by Louisiana Pathways-approved trainers. An additional 3-hour health and safety training is required annually and must be delivered by a Louisiana Department of Health CCHC — this is separate from the 12-hour requirement.

No. Louisiana's required 3-hour annual health and safety training must be delivered by a Louisiana Department of Health Child Care Health Consultant (CCHC). Our courses count toward your other required continuing education hours, not this specific health training.

Yes. Hours completed with us count toward advancement on the Administrator, Classroom, and Family Child Care Tracks of the Louisiana Pathways Career Ladder. Upload your certificates to your Pathways profile to have them applied to your career level.

Yes. Our courses provide CEUs and professional development hours applicable toward CDA training and renewal. Your certificate reflects which CDA areas it aligns to.  See the full guide here.  

Yes. You will receive a certificate after completing each course for documentation of your training hours. For live virtual trainings, your certificate is emailed within 48 hours. For self-paced trainings, your certificate is available immediately after the certificate module and never expires.
